I'm on Very Hard and haven't been min maxing but still, near constant attacks by the Dark Elves from the north and being allied with the New World Settlers who took land on my southern border slowed my progress. My main army with Maz hasn't had more than 15 units the entire game (though I have yet to lose a battle, I've had some very close calls). I'm really enjoying not only the scale but the aggressiveness of the AI. I know it's been discussed in other threads but I have had so many more siege defenses than in a standard campaign in WH1. Even though I am probably going to lose (I'm too far behind in the Vortex rituals) I'm having a blast and can't wait to explore other parts of the campaign map on other factions.
It’s not a straight stitch-‘n’-fit job, and it can’t be – the Old World and Eye of The Vortex campaign maps are designed to be standalone; they’re different shapes and don’t ‘fit together’.then laterAgain, to be clear, this isn’t the Old World and New World maps stitched together. We wanted to put gameplay and replayability first, so it’s effectively a new map in its own right. Here’s some stats:The'yre putting 'we're cutting some stuff out of the Vortex map' as positively as possible. They also mentioned lords getting relocated, which indicates the possible provinces they're cutting off (like southern Southlands).
