All that galactic conquest was, was you making your maybe one or two capital ships run through the map and have to fight the enemy team.
The unit count was so low you could finish it in like 7 or 8 minutes if you were good enough. Yeah sure, getting to unlock all the troopers was cool, but does anyone remember all of the pointless space battles that would happen at an unknown planet that was just a white little dot that took forever to finish because the enemy team would always stop you before your capital ship could reach the planet you were trying to get to? Everyone is all 'OMG NO GALACTOC CPNQIEEST NO BUY!' Chill out, it wasn't that great.
Ea Star Wars Battlefront 2 Galactic Conquest
And anybody who says that they've played battlefront 2, but they've only actually played it on pc with 3 million mods on it, don't say you've 'played' battlefront and try and say you're a master. But anyways, remember, this isn't an argument, this is a conversation, and these are just my thoughts. To be honest I liked every aspect of the game mode EXCEPT sometimes you'd get space battles after space battle after space battle. The very first battle where its just basic troops is hilarious, then building up new troops steadily as you move towards the center planets. Then discovering the enemy have already bought snipers whilst you bought the heavy guys which results in your team getting mowed down but their vehicles getting mowed down too. Buying bonuses was just. A bonus, more interesting things to do that could really change the game up.

Enemy always seemed to screw me over with reinforcements lol. They always had a few home planets that they were extra strong at defending too.IT'S JUST FUN. I agree, though I think a lot of people really forget how drab Galactic Conquest really was. As a person that still plays Battlefront II (2005) on both the original Xbox and PC, I can tell you that there is quite a bit of the game that players seriously misremember or conveniently forget. Battlefront II (2005) was a great game, don't get me wrong - and there are some things that the new title should take a lot of inspiration from - but it was far from a perfect gaming experience (like some seem to think).
Bro seriously. Galactic conquest was good fun. The majority enjoyed it. It's so easy to look at something and break it down to a basic level to the point that it sounds like it's nothing.Like ice hockey. It's just two teams of 5 random dudes using a stick to put a small black thing into a net that looks like something hookers wear with thigh high boots.Or.Kraft dinner is just noodles and cheese sauce that's it.Buddy that may be it, but kraft dinner is simply amazing (not for you obviously, but you get what I'm saying)!Same thing goes for galactic conquest. Would you prefer the game launched with the same conquest style mode and team death match? Sure they are fun, but those modes can get stale, at least galactic conquest would be a return to a nice dynamic mode.
Battlefront Ii Galactic Conquest
KotOR Galactic Conquest, by Maveritchell (hey that's me!), is a mod you can add on to Battlefront - if you have the Conversion Pack 2.0 and the - that lets you play the 'Galactic Conquest' gamemode with new sides and a new planet setup. There are two ways you can play. The 'Jedi Civil War' Galactic Conquest lets you play as the Old Republic and the 'Advent of the Sith' lets you play as the Sith Empire.

Both of these use the KotOR era from the Conversion Pack 2.0, and both of these use a lot of the Conversion Pack maps. One of the new parts of this Galactic Conquest is that when you go to a planet - say you go to Tatooine - you may end up on any of the Tatooine maps - Mos Eisley, Jabba's Palace, or Dune Sea. The KotOR GC also adds a few new planets to Galactic Conquest - Alderaan, Bespin, Rhen Var, Ord Ibanna, and the Star Forge system (which is the Sith's capital system). In addition to the tweaked map content, there's some new stuff as well.

One of the cut bonuses from the final game - the 'Sensor Array' bonus, which reveals all the units on the field - is added back in as a purchase-able bonus. There's also a brand-new space map ('Space'), which is used for all the KotOR space battles (except for the Star Forge battle). It features a random skydome, so it doesn't always look the same whenever you start it up.As long as you follow the installation instructions carefully, this should be a cinch to download and use. It's not a large file, and there are a number of documents to help you install and use it correctly.
Be sure to check it out!-Mav. Jedi Civil War/Advent of the Sith(KotOR-era Galactic Conquest)by Maveritchell-This mod for Star Wars Battlefront II adds one of two new GalacticConquest modes to your game. To play this mod, you will need thefollowing:1) SWBF Conversion Pack v2.02) Unofficial SWBF2 v1.3 PatchBoth of these are available at Star Wars Battlefront Files(starwarsbattlefront.filefront.com). For your convenience, thedirect links are:Instructions:-Unarchive to desktop.-Open folder 'KotORGC'-Move folder 'GameData' into your 'Star Wars Battlefront II' folder(usually C:Program FilesLucasartsStar Wars Battlefront II)-Allow files to be overwritten (nothing is actually overwritten)-There are two different custom 'Galactic Conquests' you can play. The first, 'Jedi Civil War,' is Galactic Conquest played with the'Old Republic' faction from the KotOR era. The second, 'Advent ofthe Sith,' is its counterpart, the 'Sith Empire' Galactic Conquest.By default, the 'Jedi Civil War' is enabled (only one custom GC maybe installed at a time), but simply switching the file locations isall it takes to play the other.
